Traveling Ideas
Well, yesterday was an adventure! Unfortunately, I do not have the time to write about it this morning. Instead here is a list of my Top Five Tips when traveling to visit family:

1. Stay in a motel – having your own space is a great way to create loving boundaries.
2. Do something just for you once a day – even though your main focus might be to connect with your family, it’s important to pay attention to what you need too.
3. Get at least eight hours of sleep each night – the lack of sleep is one of the biggest factors leading to irritability and frustration.
4. Keep a travel journal – writing down your thoughts is a great way to process your experience and to release any feelings that come up for you.
5. Create a statement of intention to keep you focused on what you value out of each day of your vacation – a statement of intention is 100% your responsibility and is centered on what you would like to bring to your experience.

And don’t forget to have some fun!
